Steven's place was wonderful! We came here to enjoy peaceful surroundings, nature, and hike, and this fit the bill. It is a 4 minute walk from Pennsylvania Mountain Trailhead, which takes you straight up a good beginner 13er. On our 3 night stay, at the cabin or in the surrounding area we saw many pika, moose, deer, a bald eagle, a snowshoe hare, many chipmunks and squirrels, fox, and even a glimpse of a mountain lion. The house was spacious with room to spread out, more than enough room for 2 adults and 2 teens. The foosball table and games were a lot of fun, and there were also many movies available. The master tub was perfect to relax in after hiking, although it did have a leak. The kitchen was a pleasure to use, and included seasonings and oil for cooking which was much appreciated. There was also a lovely welcome basket with treats my kids were very excited to see. Furniture was comfortable. The host was very kind in his communications with us. We much appreciated our stay here!

We loved this house and neighborhood so much! We specifically rented the home for the proximity to hiking trails and it was perfect. We were able to hike straight from the house on some days, on other days we drove to some trail heads, using the binder notebook provided at the home as a guide to pick trails. The house is amazing. Very comfortable and beautiful, accommodated all of us (3 adults and a 60lb dog) easily. Steven was friendly and easy to communicate with, and we appreciated him giving advice and input. I have always been a Summit Co tourist LOL but I am now 100% enthralled with South Park, especially as I am mostly interested now in hiking, and less interested in shopping and overpriced restaurants, haha.

I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet and peaceful this place was. During the day, we hung out on the porch and listened to the birds chirp and squirrels run around. At night, the moon was not out so you could see thousands of stars. It was another surprise highlight. The cabin was bigger than the picture made it look. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Steven's instructions were clear and he was quick to respond. Bonus, the cabin is within 5 minutes of two trail heads. Pennsylvania Mountain Trailhead (which goes to the top of Pennsylvania Mountain, and Pika Trailhead (which is a 1hr loop through the forest and a meadow with beautiful flowers). We had a group of 4 people but could easily accommodate the max 8 people in the cabin comfortably.

Steven’s place was perfect for our trip to the mountains. The place was super clean and exactly as described. Steven was AMAZING. He sent very clear instructions before our arrival. He allowed us to do an early check in, responded to our messages very promptly and let us do a late checkout because we have car problems on our way out. I cannot thank him enough for allowing us to get such a great stay. We would definitely rebook again.

Steven’s place exceeded expectations. 1. Place was bigger than appeared in the pictures. 2. We were able to summit a 13er with the start of the trail literally one street over from the place. Amazing experience! 3. Location was even more private than anticipated, lots of woods for kids to romp in outside the front door. 4. While we did not come with another family, it would be perfect for two families. this place basically has two master bedrooms and the downstairs one had a huge walk in closet with pack n play! 5. It really is several miles of dirt road to reach the house - was great to have a truck! 6. Very nice VERY large laundry room for dog crates/dirt etc.

Great stay! The house is very comfortable. Kitchen is very well stocked, we were able to cook all our meals including baking. Beautiful forest around the house. Kids loved the hammock. The only downside was very bumpy unpaved road so we didn't drive around as much as we planned. So we mostly hiked right from the house.

Honestly the pictures do not do this place justice!!! First off, the cabin is huge and spacious. High ceilings and open. Second, you can walk about 3 minutes from the front doorstep to epic hikes. It’s only 40 min from downtown Breck if you want dinner out. It’s very secluded and private. We highly recommend and want to come back! Great stay.
